Warning!! Lamb Pictures

Emory with ram lamb, Moonstone, and ewe lamb, White Diamond. Icelandics.
It's exciting to be out for the first time.
 "Come on...let's go exploring!"
 "It's okay, Mom. I won't go far!"
This picture makes me want to say..."Happy Easter!"
Looks like Diamond has black eyeliner.
 Pink heart shaped cute!

 Cutie Pies!

Tired after all that running and exploring.
Doing what lambs do best...sleep and eat.
Moonpie is looking a little large.
 Darla...of course.
Rosaline looks a little hefty, too.
My favorite shepherd and my favorite sheep!
Here is part of the Shetland brat pack.
 Topaz...Shetland ewe lamb.

Granite and Black Pearl, Shetlands, resting in the grass.

 Emerald, Shetland ewe lamb.
 Love this boy! Jasper.
Clay with a smile on his face as he rests.
5 Shetlands have lambed with 1 to go. 5 ram lambs and 3 ewe lambs so far.
1 Icelandic has lambed with 4 to go. 1 ram lamb and 1 ewe lamb so far.
Looks like we have to wait  a couple of weeks before the others lamb. This will be the longest lambing season ever!

First Icelandic Lambs Are Finally Here!

Emory gave birth to a lovely set of Icelandic twins in the wee morning hours of April 15th.
Hidaway Farms Moonstone, black spotted ram lamb, was the first born.
Hidaway Farms White Diamond, white patterned, was second in line.

First time mom is very protective! We are so happy they are here and healthy.

We are over half way with our lambing this year. 5 ewes left to go--1 Shetland and 4 Icelandics.

We now have 6 ram lambs and 4 ewe lambs.

Lamb Update

Hidaway Farms Cora delivered two ram lambs on April 8th. The boy above is a black gulmoget named Clay.
Clay's twin brother, Coal is pictured here. He was smaller than his older brother.
24 hours later, Hidaway Farms Emmalee  delivered a moorit ewe lamb, Emerald and her brother out in the pasture on nice green grass.
Emerald's moorit gulmoget brother, Jasper. This was Emmalee's first time lambing and it was textbook perfect. At 1:45 pm water bubble emerged. At 2:00 ewe lamb was born. At 2:05 ewe lamb was standing and trying to nurse. At 2:10 ram lamb was born!

 Here's the precious little family.
Slate is resting by the tree.
 "Aren't I cute?"
